everything is relationships
We are each born into a living web of relationships. We grow up and live our lives as part of that web. It influences everything, our needs and our preferences, our preoccupations, the actions we choose to take. We become ourselves in this web of relationships, renewing over and over again.
Relational therapy is a creative and intentional process. We become aware of our surroundings, who else is there, how we are connected, and how we could alter or grow those connections in ways that enrich our lives.
came together with a shared belief that the question “what makes life meaningful?” is best answered in relationship with others, through conversation, reflection, and action.
We chose the name in between because we believe that most of life’s meaningfulness comes from experiences of in between-ness: relationships existing between people, transitions from one thing to something else, experiences of our identities as not quite this or that.
The web of life is not fixed and static, but constantly shifting, generating spaces and times of in between-ness. These spaces are where the work of therapy can be most fruitful.
